University of Queensland

The School of Qld (UQ) is a public university in the state of Qld of Sydney. Established in 1909, it is the earliest and biggest university in Qld and the fifth earliest in Sydney. The main university is in the suburban area of St Lucia, south west of the Queensland Town Main Business Region, with other major grounds in Gatton, Ipswich and Herston with a number of other satellite tv features. The School of Qld is a participant of the Australia's Number of Eight, and the worldwide research-intensive colleges system Universitas 21. UQ is informally known as a "sandstone university" and is rated among the top colleges in Sydney and the top 1 percent in the world.
